About my own songs I can tell the following. Most of the songs that I’ve made have “played” in my thoughts for several years. At first I was working on some of the songs while studying, but for one reason or another I always ran out of energy and inspiration. Studying, moving first to Turku and from there to Joensuu, relationship, then a break-up etc. all had a part in this. The synthesizer also changed a couple of times, which meant that I had to readjust the sounds. The whole thing was just fruitless fiddling around for years.

After the break-up and some other episodes of life a need arose to change all those talks about my own songs into reality. With determination I started to work on to finish off those older songs and to make some new songs for the album (From Dawn to Rise) in Christmas 2003.

Maybe there was some madness in this, but also decisiveness to finish off what I had begun. From Christmas 2003 the most of my free time passed by working on the album. It is true that I gave everything for this debut album, despite I suffered from serious mental problems.

Miraculously, I finished the album in the summer 2005.
